Synopsis
Video recording of Miles Potter’s 2003 production of The Taming of the Shrew for the Stratford (Ontario) Shakespeare Festival. The setting spoofs spaghetti Westerns and Petruchio is made-up to resemble Clint Eastwood. Graham Abbey is Petruchio and Seana McKenna is Katherina.

Christopher Hoile, reviewing the production for www.stage-door.com, wrote ‘There’s no point in beating around the sagebrush. "The Taming of the Shrew" that opened Stratford’s 51st season is one
of the worst productions of the play in the Festival’s history. The Wild West setting is not the problem...'.
