Synopsis
A thirteen-part television series, presented by Richard Ouzounian, on the history of the Stratford (Ontario) Shakespeare Festival. Episode 2 chronicles the three seasons before moving into the permanent theatre. The arrival of artistic director Michael Langham and the actor Christopher Plummer are discussed. William Shatner and other actors discuss their impressions of working with Tyrone Guthrie. Langham relates his experiences as artistic director and Plummer discusses the spirit of the company in the early years and playing the lead in Henry V.
