Synopsis
First in a series of Shakespeare audio recordings that appear to have been issued by The Times. Charles Leafeaux directs a production of Macbeth with Murray Stephen in the title role, Barbara Jefford as Lady Macbeth and Marius Goring as Banquo. Leigh Crutchley narrates the introduction and links the narratives. Christine Gough is the music advisor and Gareth Lloyd Evans is credited as adaptor.
