Romeo and Juliet

Synopsis
Comedy burlesque. The Mudford Amateur Dramatic Society stages Romeo and Juliet. Ball (op cit) writes `...Romeo and Juliet which focused on both on the audience - a bored schoolboy who sticks chocolate on the bare back of a lady in front of him, a footman who shouts details down the ear-trumpet of a deaf old gentleman - and on the performance, during which the struggling cast is deserted by stage hands and orchestra’.
