Bumptious As Romeo

Synopsis
Comedy short. Part of the Bumptious series which featured the rotund and aptly named comedian John R. Cumpson. Bumptious organises an amateur production at the town hall of Romeo and Juliet in which he is to play Romeo. Everything goes wrong including the collapse of the balcony. Admonishing the stagehands Bumptious looks through a peephole in the stage curtain and discovers that the theatre is empty. He smashes a bust of Shakespeare and resolves never to act again.
