Synopsis
Feature film. Octavia is a rich society beauty living in New York. Her grandfather, a mining magnate, sends her to Alaska fearing that she is about to marry a foolish city boy. There she meets Chuck Hemingway, a prospector and a ‘barbarian’ (a man free from social conformity). She rejects him because she believes he is not of her social class. With the grandfather’s blessing Chuck kidnaps and marries her. Maintaining a chaste relationship she nevertheless keeps house and when Chick is attracted to Kitty Malloy (an Arctic cabaret star), she becomes jealous and realises that she loves Chuck who turns out to be a wealthy college boy after all.
