Synopsis
Commercial for Beck’s Beer as part of the ‘What Germans Do Best’ campaign. The balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet performed in German in Expressionist style; the set is black and white with a chessboard floor and a large ball separating Romeo from Juliet. The English voice-over, with a heavy German accent, at the close states ‘Germans don’t do romance. Zay do beer. Becks. Ze best of what Germans do best’. Creative director is Fredrik Odding and the commercial is directed by Tarsem Singh.
