Hop-A-Long Hamlet

Synopsis
Radio current affairs programme. This episode includes a four minute item in which Pat Marini interviews Christopher Plummer. Plummer was appearing in repertory at the Stratford (Ontario) Shakespeare Festival as Hamlet and Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night. During a performance of the latter he injured his leg and had to withdraw. Plummer continued to play Hamlet with his leg in a cast and using a cane. He talks of the injury, and gives his opinion of the Festival and the role of Hamlet (the first time he had played it); he also comments on the difficulty of balancing family and professional life.
