- Chat show/comedy series. This episode includes a routine where Al Murray (in his comic guise as ‘The Pub Landlord’) imagined what things would be like if England was in Spain and had Spain’s climate. For reasons unclear, this led him to imagining whether Shakespeare would have been the same if he had come from Spain, which led to his giving a fairly full rendition of the ‘To be or not to be’ speech, while semi-assaulting members of the audience. The ‘gag’ at the end was that Shakespeare gave up because it wasn’t worth the bother.
