Synopsis
Fourth concert in a week’s series of BBC Radio 3 ‘Afternoon Performances’ dedicated to showcasing music written for and inspired by the works of Shakespeare and other literary authors.
The Shakespeare-related items in this episode’s playlist include: excerpts from Edward German’s incidental music for Romeo and Juliet, the Hamlet Prelude and his short tone poem The Willow Song (Othello), all conducted by John Wilson.
