Synopsis

Opening address of the Associate Council of the Arts (ACA) Conference that took place 7 - 10 January 1976 in Canada. Following a brief introduction, the address is delivered by Joseph Papp, theatrical director, producer and founder of the New York Shakespeare Festival in 1954. Papp speaks of the use of space in art centres, including the architecture found in Ontario’s Stratford Festival.
