Press night 11 April 2005. The production also played at the Novello Theatre, London February 2-25 2006. The production was redesigned for The Courtyard in 2008 and presented with a different cast. This production is catalogued separately.

The site offer insights into the backstage work supporting the performance, and the director and designer speak about working together in preparing the world for the actors to inhabit. The look of this production is compared with earlier RSC interpretations. The designer talks about the development of his ideas set changes. There is information on the choices made over costume and fairy transformation and demonstrations of the use of puppets, an individual feature of this production.
