Notes

General
`I was immediately struck by the comparisons with the emerging democracies of the ex-Soviet regions. We explored Vladimir Putin’s gradual creeping centralisation of power in Russia, we also looked at Silvio Berlusconi’s protection of his power base in Italy’ (David Farr, Director, RSC website).
History
The first performance was at Hambleton Leisure Centre, Northallerton on 14 September 2004. The production then played in repertoire with The Two Gentlemen of Verona at the Swan Theatre 18 November 2004-26 February 2005.
