Synopsis
Classic British radio comedy series. Episode 11 in series 5 (50th show) includes a fifteen-minute parody of Othello. A breakneck smattering of silly voices and dreadful puns is held together by funny songs and the groans and laughs from the audience. The music is by Leon Cohen, with songs by Bill Oddie.

General
The show ran for 8 years and grew out of the Cambridge University undergraduate revue. It showcased the comic talents of Tim Brooke-Taylor, John Cleese, Graeme Garden, David Hatch, Jo Kendall and Bill Oddie. Each episode lasted about 30 minutes and included sketches, songs and a parody of a serial or a story.
History
The show’s pilot episode, a recording of the West End show Cambridge Circus, was transmitted on the BBC Home Service on December 30, 1963. Since December 2002, episodes of the show can be heard on BBC 7, ususally on Mondays at 14:30 and Tuesdays at 6:30 hours (London Time).
