Notes

Notes
A recording was also made 31 August 1989 (with Naomi Wirthner as Imogen).
General
"Musicians in shadows play the chimes and steel drums ranged against the fourth wall. Otherwise the set is austere and the costumes discreetly polychronistic, from classical tunics to puffed Tudor doublets and a caddish Regency waistcoat (for the arch-cad Iachimo)." Martin Hoyle, Financial Times (March 23 1988).
History
Press night at The Pit 22 March 1988. The production opened at The Other Place 12 November 1987. The RSC recording is from a performance at the Pit.
