Macbeth: The Witches Scenes

Synopsis

Avant-garde work by Polish-born, US resident media artist, Miroslaw Rogola. Combines live action and video sequences. The witches are no longer prophets, they become the future. Leaving flesh and blood behind they exist in a post-apocalyptic electronic environment weaving their spells with the assistance of a robot. Macbeth is portrayed as a modern general horrified by modern warfare in the procession of apparitions. The production was made with the Byrne Piven Theatre Workshop in Evanston, Chicago.
