A new production of this programme was broadcast on 16 December 1948 on the Third Programme under the title SHAKESPEARE AND HIS MUSICIANS: AN ENQUIRY INTO SHAKESPEARE’S USE OF MUSIC. Produced, written and spoken by Douglas Cleverdon. Also starring Marjorie Westbury, Alan Wheatley, Dennis Arundell, Geoffrey Dunn, Dudley Jones, Nicolette Bernard, Yvonne Coulette, Julian Orde, Anthony Jacobs, Mary O’Farrell, Gavin Gordon, and Brian Nissen as players alongside the the Dolmetsch Consort of Viols.
