Reviews
Shand, D.B. ‘Guying the Guys and Girling the Shrew: (Post) Feminist Fun at Shakespeare’s Globe’ in Barbara Hodgdon and W.B. Worthern (eds), Companion to Shakespeare and Performance (Oxford & Malden, MA: Blackwell, 2005) 550-63. The essay criticises the production for failing to address the oppressive sexism of the play in favour of a metatheatrical emphasis on the all-female cast.
