Synopsis

British comedy sketch programme in which Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis satirise the week’s news in stand-up, sketches and songs. This episode’s concern with defining social groups briefly considers the question whether Shakespeare, if he was alive today, would be writing for EastEnders, the popular BBC television soap. The ramifications of this is demonstrated by reciting a version of Hamlet’s "To be or not to be" soliloquy as it would sound on EastEnders.
