Coronation Street[03/04/2006]

Synopsis
Television soap opera. CORONATION STREET for many months had been running a story in which Mike Baldwin (played by Johnny Briggs) was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. In this episode, confused and ailing and believing himself betrayed by two of his three sons, he travels to Doncaster to find his son Adam. Adam refuses to take him in and and believing that he has now been rejected by his all his sons, wanders bare-headed into a torrential storm (urban Doncaster standing in for Dover). Lost, confused, betrayed and with his authority over his business gone and personality disintegrated, he is eventually found and comforted by his grandson. Two episodes later Mike died of a heart attack on the Street cobbles, in the arms of Ken Barlow (William Roache), his long-time enemy.
