The review praised the conception and execution of the production, proclaiming it to be ‘the most exciting television yet seen on the home screen - a magnificently bold, imaginative, and independent achievement’. Gould shrewdly noted that the televising ‘went to the heart of video’s needs, which is to make a picture, not to take one’.
