Rosie, Oh, Rosie Oh!

Synopsis
Children’s series featuring a Jack Russell terrier of the same name. The dog lives with his owner Joe Talbot in Oakdale, Texas, a fictional modern day neighbourhood, but he daydreams about being the star of stories from classic literature, drawing parallels between the stories and the events in the lives of Joe and his friends. It portrays the thoughts of a live Jack Russell terrier in appropriate costume projected as sound with ‘real’ people talking. In ROSIE, OH, ROSIE, OH! Wishbone, not wearing his collar, gets taken to the pound where he meets a beautiful dog called Rosie. He is reminded of Shakespeare’s play, with himself and Rosie in the leading roles. When Rosie is adopted by another family, Wishbone’s romance comes to an end. The play is followed by scenes of casting and rehearsals for the show, including comments from actors Jeanne Simpson (Juliet) and Christopher Carlos (Sampson).
