Synopsis
A two-part SOUTH BANK SHOW to celebrate Sir Peter Hall’s 50 years in theatre. Peter Hall looks back on his foundation of the Royal Shakespeare Company, his 15 years as Director of the National Theatre, and his six years at Glyndebourne. He is seen rehearsing a 2005 stage production of Much Ado About Nothing and expounding his theories about verse speaking. Includes excerpts from some of his productions including The Wars of the Roses and Waiting for Godot.
