Notes

General
The Stables Theatre Company was the experimental theatre arm of Granada Television. Productions began in January 1969 and the experiment folded at the end of 1970 when the company went bankrupt with debts of £63,000.
History
The play is likely to have been televised for inclusion in a series of 12 Stables Theatre Company productions scheduled for transmission in the latter half of 1969 and throughout 1970. Only three of these plays are billed in TV Times and appear to have been shown in August 1969. The director was unhappy with the televised production of the stage play (which had been very well received) and it was never transmitted.
