- Synopsis
- A reworking of the play, based on the Triple Action Theatre Group’s 1973 stage production. Rumbelow sees the play as a conflict between man, nature and the supernatural, and so insisted that it was filmed entirely on location at night, the only lighting being torches carried by the actors. The film focuses on ‘key moments’ from the play - highlighting the dilemmas faced by Lear and Gloucester.
