Play synopsis: Comedy. ‘Since Claud and Andrea have only known each other for a few weeks, the first evening of their honeymoon is an opportunity for talking about incidents that occurred before they met. One fact that Andrea mentions is that her previous husband fell from a liner into the sea. It appears that, as the widow, she had to answer a lot of questions, some of them from the dock at the Old Bailey. Claud did not read about the case ... but the disclosure worries him. Of course, Andrea does seem forgetful, and Dudley was obviously an unpleasant type. But Dudley did not drown: in fact he calls on the newly-weds that very evening’ (Radio Times, 23 October 1953, p. 26).
