Play synopsis

Talbot Rothwell’s farcical comedy Queen Elizabeth Slept Here is adapted from Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman’s Broadway play George Washington Slept Here (Radio Times, 5 October 1956, p. 15). It concerns a young couple who begin living in a run-down country cottage only to face a series of misfortunes.
