- The Radio Times for 3 December 1937, p. 19 notes that ‘the timings you see for it in the programme columns are not misprints - the show really has been allocated ninety minutes. As far as I can remember, no television producer has yet sat on duty in the control-room for as long as an hour and a half’. The same article is informative on the unusual (for the time) rehearsal process and the use of studios and sets at Alexandra Palace.
