In 1939 this farce was produced at the Theatre Royal, Brighton; it was due to open at the Comedy Theatre, London but war prevented its West End debut. In October 1948 it was produced at the Playhouse Theatre, London and in 1949 it was made into a film (source: Radio Times, 4 May 1956, p. 15).
