History
Looking At Britain was a series of black and white films produced by the Central Office of Information on behalf of the Colonial Office. The films were made by a variety of companies, including Kinocrat Films Ltd, Max Munden Productions Ltd and Impact Telefilms Ltd. Each 13-minute film dealt with a single aspect of life in Britain including a comprehensive school, Royal Windsor and the world of a New Town housewife. Although the films were primarily designed for distribution in Africa, there is evidence, from the music licenses, that they were also destined for countries such as Australia.
