Summary
Following the surrender of Majunga it was decided to press southwards to the capital. Chief opposition met with was systematic obstruction, such as bush fires, blown-up bridges, felled trees, etc. In two weeks allied troops were at Antananarivo having entered and passed through Malagasy, Mevatanana, Mahatsinjo and Ankazobi.
