MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Petersen v Doyle at White City. DESCRIPTION: Fiasco in result, the heavyweight title fight proves thrilling enough in action. British Movietonews shows you exclusively this much-discussed contest, in which Jack Doyle, ex-Irish Guardsman, was disqualified for low punching after 3.5 minutes fighting. Jack Petersen, the idol of Wales, thus retains his British title. Sub.1. Was Mr Douglas right? ... slow motion shows you Doyle’s last two blows before disqualification. Sub.2. After it is all over ... Doyle expresses chagrin in talk with manager, Mr Dan Sullivan. SHOTLIST: Doyle enters ring and is greeted. Petersen enters ring likewise. The boxers shake hands and the fight commences. Various close shots of fight. The low punches are clearly seen. Referee stops fight. Fight continues. The fight is stopped and Doyle is disqualified. Stands in corner defeated and Petersen hailed the winner. Sub.1. Slow motion of the fighting with the low punches. Sub.2. Close shots Doyle speaking to manager. CU Doyle (89’).
