Summary
BFI synopsis: A feature investigating modern rockets and the backroom world and research in their production. In the laboratories of the Ministry of Aviation experiments for a more proficient fuel are shown, and the new fuels are then sent to an engine testing centre at Westcott. Rockets are seen being tested, and the film moves on to an experimental rocket range at Aberporth in South Wales, with a look at several of the rockets and work that goes on there. The history, workings and performance of one rocket in particular -the "Bloodhound"- is covered.
