- Summary
- NoS synopsis: "The quaintest working dog we came across recently was a clam-fisher!" L/S of a beach with a woman and dog in the distance. C/U of the dog who is digging in the sand, his mistress crouched beside him. C/U of the dog deep in concentration as he digs his hole. The dog draws out a clam in his mouth. His mistress takes it away from him and puts it in a bucket. "Every day he goes out with his mistress and digs up the clams for her!" Another shot of the dog digging. He walks off with a clam in his mouth. L/S of dog and mistress walking along the beach together. "A bear and a dog aren’t curious - but they are interesting." M/S of a man feeding a baby bear an ice cream. Puppies jump around them. One of the dogs gets a lick of the ice cream. "But, when we show you an animal that is half bear and half dog - that’s curious!" Low angle shot of an odd dog walking towards the camera. Reverse angle shot of the dog running away from the camera. It does look like a cross between a bear and a dog. "His legs, body and coat are bear - his head, heart and pants - all dog!" C/Us of the dog. (Language in intertitles suggests that this is American footage)
