Summary
NoS Summary - Funny film showing a man in a suit of armour smoking, shaving, eating, drinking etc.
British Pathe synopsis: "Not everybody can afford to live inside a £25,000 suit of perfect armour like a friend of ours." M/S of a man in a suit of armour sitting down beside a dressing table. He is putting shaving soap onto his chin. C/U of the man in armour having a shave. M/S of the armoured man sitting at a table in his metal suit having a cup of tea! He pours tea from the teapot then puts milk in. "Note how smoothly the joints move." C/U of the man eating with a knife and fork and drinking his tea - still in his armour. He smiles broadly at the camera. "It isn’t often that London evinces surprise, but it did when a cigar, followed by a suit of armour, strolled into view." L/S of the suited man walking through Piccadilly Circus. People stare. He stands in front of Eros smoking his pipe. M/S of our armoured friend standing in the middle of the road as two horse drawn carts and other traffic passes the camera. A young boy dressed in a page boy uniform stands in the street looking at the armoured man and the camera. "The old and the new" A line of soldiers march through Marble Arch and our friend stands by and watches in his silver suit holding up a sword.
