Summary
NoS Summary - girls from 1893 do a high kick routine, then girls dressed 1932 style do the same.
British Pathe synopsis: "A memory from the past - " L/S of a Roman style building with columns and stone steps. Women wearing old fashioned clothes c1893 are superimposed by a camera trick so that they look like ghosts walking around the old location. M/S of the women gossiping with each other and looking at the building. "Spirits of 1893!" They stand at the bottom of the steps, lift up their long skirts and do a high kick routine. "But, this is just a cinematographer’s fanciful dream." Closer view of the girls dancing. They end their little routine with a dainty curtsy. "He was really sent out to picture these fair moderns..." The dancing girls magically appear on the steps again, this time in 1930s style dancing outfits - very short light coloured frocks. They do a high kick routine, slowly making their way down the stone steps. "See what the grass will produce here." C/Us of the girls lying in the grass exercising by stretching their legs in the air.
