NoS Summary - Miss Ursula Jeans at Croydon airport flying and overhauling her De Havilland Moth.
British Pathe synopsis: "We found Miss Jeans at Croydon, just about to take a joy-ride in one of the air-fleet down there" M/S of a plane on the ground, dissolve to show C/U of Ursula Jeans powdering her nose dressed in a pilot’s helmet and big fur coat. She checks her hat and make-up in her compact mirror. M/S of Ursula wrapping her coat around herself and climbing into the cockpit. "There’s no doubt more women are going up in the air (so to speak) every day - !" C/U of Ursula waving from the cockpit. M/Ss of the plane taking off and low angle shot of plane in flight. Plane comes in to land. "But, there’s nothing like a spot of engine overhauling to bring you back to earth, and Miss Jeans thinks this just as interesting as the flying." M/S of Ursula giving her plane an overhaul. Behind her is an Imperial Airways Handley Page airliner called "Horatius". C/U of Ursula working on the plane. "And it’s even more interesting when you get a visit from "Horatius", the 14-ton Imperial Airways monster." Horatius is pulled along the runway past Ms Jeans. Her plane is dwarfed by the larger one.
