Summary

British Pathe synopsis: "Coaches, Selectors and teams are searching Britain for rising new talent to uphold Britain’s tennis prestige. Miss P. E. Mudford (sunshield) is one of the new Stars..." M/S of Miss Mudford serving then playing some shots. Shot of her play from the other side of the net. "Her opponent is Miss G.R. Sterry (white bandeau) another of Britain’s young Brigade..." Various shots of Miss Sterry’s game. "Miss Mudford has a lithe easy action, is equally at home with backhand or forehand strokes, and will go a long way in this year’s tournaments." More shots of the game including "A really good rally - " Part of the game is seen in slow motion. Rally ends and the women leave the court. Umpire and ball boy are seen.
