Summary
NoS Summary - pedal powered, a tandem boat and one with a motor on the side.
British Pathe synopsis: Two women have fun in a bizarre boat shaped like a duck! The boat is pedal-powered so one of the women pedals away whilst the other just sits and looks at the view. They both wear flowery summer dresses and floppy hats. L/S of the boat being propelled towards the camera. The girls travel past. "Tandems too!" reads an intertitle. The second novelty boat is propelled by two women who pedal away. One woman steers the boat with a large steering wheel. C/U showing the woman’s torso as she pedals. Reverse angle shot of the other woman’s body and legs as she pedals. Top shot of the pedal mechanism with the legs of both women pumping away. L/S of the boat as it is propelled past the camera. "And here’s another cute idea for river folk - the side outboard motor." The third boat featured has a motor which a woman in a floaty chiffon dress attaches to the side. Another woman attaches the propeller and they then go for a little trip in the boat.
