Summary
NoS Summary - Eve blowing glass at a glass works in Battersea.
British Pathe synopsis: Opening intertitle reads: "We’re used to ladies running farms, fashion-businesses and other departures from domestic life - but here’s one who runs a glassworks!" M/S of stern looking woman with hands on hips watches a man who is glass blowing. She grabs a pole with a piece of hot glass on the end from another worker. C/U of man shaping the glass. "A glass worker’s life is full of good turns." C/U of the base of a glass being shaped. Excess glass is cut off with large scissors. A handle is attached. C/U of the woman holding up the vase to the camera. L/S of large fancy bowl being moulded. C/U of the dish being finished - the woman assists.
