Summary
NoS Summary - Toots Pounds, Billy Merson and George Clarke at the Palladium Theatre.
NoS synopsis: Large number of chorus girls march on stage of the Palladium Theatre in the revue "Palladium Pleasures." The girls carry spears or staffs and have spangly outfits. "George Clarke has a little difficulty with a lift -". George Clarke tries to get into a hotel lift with a large number of packages. The lift moves up with his packages inside but not him. Then he gets his foot stuck under the lift. More funny business with the lift and his packages. "A living painting from Spain - Valecia [Valencia?] - (and Toots Pounds.)" reads an intertitle. A woman grandly dressed makes her way down a set of stairs on stage. The scene is shown within a picture frame device. The grand lady’s dress has several long trains which are held by pages as she walks. "Billy Merson and George Clarke dance a quaint mixture in "Umbrellas and Ice Cream."" This involves a Pat-a-cake sequence and a slap round the chops for each of them. They kick each others’ bottoms then fall on the floor.
