Summary
NoS synopsis: Dance routines from "By the Way", a musical comedy at the Apollo Theatre in London. Jack Hulbert and Eddie Childs do a tap dance routine. The Marionettes do a dance. These seem to be puppet bodies with real women’s faces on top. Perhaps the women have their heads poking through holes in the stage curtain - difficult to tell. Chorus girls do a high kick routine.
Pathe Intertitles - "Jack Hulbert and Cicely Courtneidge showed us their favourite -"
"Then Jack Hulbert and Eddie Childs tried another variety -"
"Even the Marionettes had a style of their own -"
"But, the ladies in "Stepping High" were the real "high-steppers" -"
