- Summary
- COI synopsis: Man’s compulsive search for perfection dictates a continuous re-appraisal of past success. For the enquiring mind, it’s just not enough that something works adequately - it can always be improved. Millions of gallons of lubricating oil are poured away just because it’s soiled - it’s like pouring money down the drain. Specks of dust, carbon and metal build up in working oil; but they are microscopic: therefore hard to remove. The answer was a coagulant. A secret formula developed by scientists at British Rail, thickens the dirt to a sludge. Then, simply centrifuge the dirt out and the oil gleams like new.
