Summary
COI synopsis: High costs, labour shortage and a hungry world have brought about a revolution down on the farm. This week’s programme looks at new ways to deal with perennial problems. A farmer obviously can’t ask his cows how much they need to be fed, or how much shelter they need! So, scientists have designed "Mabel" the cow simulator, that monitors every aspect of a bovine environment. Via a computer, "Mabel" has the answer.
