Summary

COI synopsis: In a Glasgow hospital they’re using an old battleship to protect their patients from spurious radioactivity. The techniques they’ve developed to monitor body functions by observing the progress of minute amounts of radioactive tracers through the body are extremely sensitive. Steel manufactured before 1945 (and hence free of radio-isotopes) is used as a shield to prevent natural radiation upsetting the readings of radioactivity emitted from the body.
