MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Maundy Money & New Forest 900th Anniversary Visit. DESCRIPTION: This years distribution of the Royal Maundy money took place at Winchester Cathedral which is celebrating its 900th Anniversary. The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh attended the Service and Her Majesty handed out the purses containing the specially minted Maundy pennies. Later in the day the Queen and Duke visited Knightswood Oak in the New Forest and there Her Majesty planted an Oak tree. SHOTLIST: GV exterior Winchester Cathedral (celebrating 900th anniversary). MS the Queen steps from car and is greeted by Lord-Lieutenant for Hampshire, the Earl of Malmesbury. MS Queen and Prince Philip introduced to the Countess of Malmesbury and others.
