- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Bad Weather Report. DESCRIPTION: Ice and snow again caused havoc on the roads of Britain, with some roads completely blocked by snow drifts. Back in 1937 the polar weather seemed to be taken less seriously, in fact at the Zoo the Polar Bears and Penguins revelled in it and Trafalgar Square became a snow playground for children. In 1979 it was travel on treacherous icy roads and hope that Spring would arrive early. SHOTLIST: Inside car along road in blizzard. MS lorries passing camera. Along road from inside car. Library Material - Car along road in snow. Car along road in snow, car at junction. MS cars moving very slowly. GV across snow cars in road. Sign ‘Road Closed’. GV pan to church. MS church.
