MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: World Skiing Championships - Men’s Downhill. DESCRIPTION: At Garmisch-Partenkirchen the Men’s Downhill Skiing Competition formed part of the World Championships. The favourite to take the gold was Franz Klammer, but he did not justify this and fellow Austrian Sepp Walcher was first with West German Michael Veith second.
