- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Woman’s Singles Final. DESCRIPTION: Two former Champions, Chris Evert and Evonne Cawley, in the Ladies Singles Final. It proved to be a long three set match and finally victory went to Miss Evert 6-3, 4/6, 8-6In the Men’s Final the young Swede Bjorn Borg, faced the brilliant and temperamental Rumanian, Ilie Nastase, an all European Final. It was not to be Nastase’s day and Borg took the title in three straight sets. At 20 Bjorn Borg became one of the youngest Men’s Champions in Wimbledon history. SHOTLIST: GV Wimbledon.
