MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Windsor Horse Show. DESCRIPTION: The Royal Windsor Horse Show annually draws a crowd to see various equestrian events. This year HRH the Duke of Edinburgh was competing in the International Driving Grand Prix, while riders on the Olympic short-list took part in the Olympic Invitation Stakes. SHOTLIST: MLS Windsor Castle in distance down a long drive. MS people at horse show. MCU ditto (x2). MS a coach in the driving Grand Prix going out to start. MS from coach looking at horses as they go along. MS people at show. MS another coach going out to start. CU man starting coaches. MS starter in foreground with a coach at start, he is started at 70’. MS people at show. MCU Duke of Edinburgh getting up onto his coach. MCU man holding the Duke’s horses. MS Duke’s team going out to start. MLS the Round Tower at Windsor. Pull back to see area for show jumping with No 333 F Broome waiting to start. MS people watching. MS No 333 F Broome on Sun Sovereign coming over 4 jumps. MS Mrs Jean Davenport No 348 on Bay Leaf coming over four jumps at 136’, she knocks down the first jump and at 145’ she knocks down the last fence. MS Tim Grubb on Waterbrook No 248, he knocks down the first fence at 151’ and turns his horse away from the second. MCU crowd. MS J Greenwood No 270 Spooky. He knocks down the second fence at 170’, the third at 172’ and clears the last fence. At third fence pull back. MS R Fernyhough No 238 on Automatic, he goes over two fences and clears both of them. MS Lady Frazier on Millionaire No 20, she knocks the first fence down at 190’ and clears the rest, on last fence pull back. MS Mrs M Holden No 7 on Mr Uee jumps one fence, turns into the four fences, knocks down the second fence at 216’ and the third at 218’ and the fourth at 220. MCU photographer. MS Duke of Edinburgh on driving course going past camera. Pan.
